Global Sources Direct launches Hong Kong Post Registered Airmail service.
-Save up to 70% on shipping for orders under 700g

Starting Aug. 8, 2008, Global Sources Direct buyers in select countries can choose to ship their orders via Hong Kong Post Registered Airmail/Courier. This new service can result in savings on shipping costs up to 70% for your orders weighing less than 700g. It’s a perfect option for buyers seeking samples.

This option is only available to buyers in the following countries: Canada, USA, Ireland, Malta, Portugal, Spain, UK, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Qatar, and UAE. Each of these countries provides online tracking that allows us to offer delivery status tracking to our customers upon request.

Delivery time for Hong Kong Post Registered Airmail is from 7 to 10 days after payment is confirmed. A shipment tracking number will be provided to the customer. Shipping insurance is not available for the Hong Kong Post Registered Airmail method of shipping.

For orders not meeting the 700 gram and ship-to country criteria, they will be shipped using an international courier service. The shipping rate will be the same as when selecting the “Courier” option during checkout.

Global Sources Direct offers new shipping solutions with lower rates

Our shipping team here at Global Sources Direct never stops looking for ways to offer our buyers lower fees and more efficient service. That’s why we’ve switched couriers for buyers in a wide range of countries in zones 7 and 8. Now, depending on the size of your order, you may qualify for shipping rates reduced by as much as 50%.

Buyers in certain zone 8 countries in the Americas or Mideast now qualify for at least 30% savings on all orders, and 60% savings on shipments weighing more than 5kg. These countries include Aruba, Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla, Barbados, Bermuda, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Dominica, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Iraq, Jamaica, Luxembourg, Montserrat, Martinique, Malta, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Zone 7 buyers now qualify for 5% savings on shipments over 5kg, and 10-20% savings on shipments over 20kg. These countries include Andorra, American Samoa, Austria, Switzerland, Cook Islands, Denmark, Spain, Finland, Fiji, Greece, Guam, Ireland, India, Liechtenstein, Marshall Islands, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Norway, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, Sweden and East Timor.

Middle Eastern and European buyers in certain Zone 8 countries qualify for savings of 20% or more for all shipments and 50% discounts on shipments of at least 5kg. These countries include Afghanistan, Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar and Syria.
